The charm of Sharm
The Summer of 2008 saw us book a budget cheapie on the ill fated Globespan airways. They went bust 3 weeks after our return, stranding 1000's of people. Phew!
This was undoubtedly a holiday of mixed experiences. I'll start by saying now, we'll probably never go back to Sharm el Sheik. Egypt's version of the over developed 'resort' location wasn't really our cup of tea, but there again we've always thought of All Inclusive as our very own version of hell. Not to say it was awful. We met some lovely locals, Naama Bay was a nice place (though it was 70 Egyptian pounds round trip in a taxi each night we went there) and the weather was good (too good at times). However there were equally as many bad points, some locals were overly opportunist (verging on robbery), the food wasn't great and most importantly the beer was awful! We've been, we had a nice time as a family but we won't return. |

Well as you can see there wasn't much of interest to see, so apologies for all the photos of us!
