Tavira, Portugal 200
Our first villa holiday was in Portugal with our besties the Parkers. We'd decided on a villa about 5 miles west of the town of Tavira. Again we'd gone a little inland and very isolated, as was to be our continuing plan.
The villa wasn't the smartest we've stayed in but it was on a huge plot. The pool was large with it's own pool bar (yippee) and there was lots of outside seating to dine. We even had the luxury of a huge field to play football, golf or just let the kids run around. Shortly after staying there we saw the villa was put up for sale for 400k euros. Hopefully with an internal refit and decorating it will have become an even better place to stay.
The town of Tavira was the highlight of the Algarve. It was a nice town with loads of places to eat and it was generally a lovely place. The beaches nearby were nice but a bit of a hassle to get to. One even required a train journey over water to reach.

I found this short 'video' I must have made after coming home to highlight some of the things we did on the trip. It was a pretty simple attempt but still brings back happy memories. I have uploaded it to youtube so I can put it on here.
