Where better to begin than one of our favourite areas of Madrid, on and around Calle Santa Isabel on the edge of the Lavapies area to the North of Atocha station. Literally across the road from our apartment on Calle Atocha, this street runs north to south for about a mile and is packed with amazing little places to eat.
Seating is often at a premium later on here, even on a Wednesday night!
Frank opted for a huge slab of blackcurrant cheesecake, Sam a 3 milk cake, Sid a lemon torte and I went for the passion fruit torte. All were delicious and quickly demolished but special mention needs to be given to the 3 milk cake, a moist, fluffy, sweet dream of a dessert.
