Opened in 2010 by a local couple, David and Katy Waddington, the smart interior, open kitchen, menu branding, warm welcome and delightful food certainly gave a favourable first impression.
To start we sampled the dough sticks and fabulous Antipasti plate, you choose from a selection of options to personalise this dish, really fresh and tasty.
Main courses were pizzas all round. These were prepared in the open kitchen and quickly served piping hot to the table. The toppings were good quality and very tasty though we were split 50/50 over whether the tomato sauce needed a few italian herbs for flavour. 100% agreement over the lovely crispy base though.
Dessert was included for Frank in the bambini menu - ice cream. Most of us were pretty stuffed so we passed, much pain for Sid as he really wanted cheesecake but his tummy was too full. Sam did manage two scoops of gorgeous gelati - salted caramel and chocolate hazelnut.
With a large Peroni to share, a large San Pellegrino and two apple juices the bill was moderate @ £53.75
Would we return? 4 out of 4 agreed we would. Good service, a refreshing relaxed setting, lovely food of course we will return, so should you!
