No neither did we!
We visited for 3 nights and barely had a moments rest, apart from an hour or so skipping stones on the shores of Loch Lomond. We were in full on exploration mode, hitting the city old town, the Wallace Memorial, nearby Falkirk for the engineering wonder The Falkirk Wheel and the amazing Kelpies sculptures.
We ate well in Stirling for sure, Maharaja Indian was spicy and delightful, Corrieri's was a real bustling budget italian cafe, Sida Thai was also top notch but Toast opposite the Premier Inn was a real breakfast highlight.
Stirling was an unexpected gem and somewhere we will certainly return to visit.
